Jae moved to New Zealand from China in 2001, bringing with him a passion for community and quality service. In 2016, he realized a dream by purchasing The Palms Robert Harris café, and in 2021, he expanded his ownership to include the South City Robert Harris café.

The enticing aroma of coffee from Robert Harris had always captivated Jae, leading him to often tell his wife that he would one day own the café so she could relax.

Jae treasures the relationships he has built with his regular customers, many of whom have become like family over the past eight years. His commitment to fostering a friendly and warm atmosphere is evident in the loyalty and kindness of his patrons, making Robert Harris South City a cherished part of the community.
